Our client, Symal, was engaged as the principal supplier for the construction of 3 new Crane Tracks in Port Melbourne.

Symal secured the services of Corfad as their rail contractor, to deliver all rail construction including placement of bottom ballast, sleepers, rail and aluminothermic welding.

Corfad was responsible for supplying the following:

• Supervisors
• Welding
• Plant – Machines & Operators
• Labour Hire
• Ultrasonic Testing

The plant used to complete the job included:

• 1 x 5T Excavator
• 2 x 22T RRV
• 1 x Hydrema
• 2 x Loaders

Corfad successfully completed track construction of 6 Crane rails totalling 1700 meters from bottom ballast up.
